Young People

Sefton Education Business Partnership can offer lots of opportunities to develop your skills and interests.

Key Stage 4 students can obtain a short block of ‘non vocational’ work experience; or a more extended period (one or two days per week) useful for those going down the Apprenticeship route; whilst post-16 students can pursue a short block of work experience more closely aligned to their future study and career plans. Placements are offered throughout the year

In terms of employability services we can help you think about your future working life. We can provide you with the opportunity to meet local employers. We run a series of ‘Meet the Professionals’ activities, can organise workplace visits and arrange for an employability interview. In addition we can offer Finance sessions in school to help you to manage your money better.

Our Higher Education 'Tasters' include stays in student accommodation, where you can attend a lecture and work on a project. The 'Tasters' are designed to help you decide whether University is for you. We can cater for different age ranges e.g. Year 9, 10, 11 or sixth form students. We make all the arrangements so transport, accommodation, catering and activities are all taken care of.

Children's University offers exciting and innovative learning activities and experiences outside normal school hours. These activities can be before school, during lunchtime, after school, during weekends or holidays etc. All are entirely voluntary, so it is up to you to decide what to do and when to do it, whilst the learning always has a link to something you could go on to do at a 'grown up' university.
